What inspired you to choose medicine? The desire to connect with people in a meaningful way.
Why did you choose your specialty? It was a calling. It felt like a way to connect with people that you don’t get in a lot of modern medicine. There’s an opportunity for healing when cure isn’t possible that you don’t get anywhere else.
What is your philosophy of care? I’m not there to tell you what to do. I can offer you my experience; I can offer you my knowledge. There’s a whole team here to help you, but it’s not our decision. We’re here to help.
What do you like about Yakima? It’s a great place to raise a family, and the outdoor opportunities are fantastic. We find it to be everything we were looking for.
What do you like to do outside of work? I like to spend time with my family and my dogs. We do anything outdoors, like cross country ski, hike and fly fish.

What do you like about Yakima? I was raised in Yakima until I graduated high school. It’s wonderful to have four seasons. It was a wonderful place to grow up; it still has a small-town feeling. And I still have family who live here.
What do you like to do outside of work? I really enjoy music – I play guitar. And my wife and I hike and ski.
